As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll act as a subject matter expert within your specific capability of One Finance. You will support areas including category merchants, sales channels, services, supply chain, capital planning and enterprise financial planning and analysis. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to change the area you support to continue learning and growing your skillsets.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do

• Partner with key functional areas to understand business finance concepts including revenue and earnings performance, enterprise operating income, SG&A and market share, international operating income and revenue growth
• Support our financial rhythms including monthly forecasts, month-end variance analysis, management reporting, annual budgeting, and long-range financial planning
• Deliver clear, insightful analysis and recommendations for business scenarios and help identify opportunities and solutions
• Communicate business risks and opportunities to leadership while working to formulate initial action plans that mitigate risks and maximize opportunities
• Deliver in-depth modeling and analysis that supports transformational efforts and strategic growth opportunities

Basic qualifications

• 2 years of work experience in a finance or accounting capacity
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience in finance, accounting or related fields
• Demonstration of leadership and adept critical thinking skills
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion without explicit direction or detailed instructions
• MBA or CPA
