As the Sr. Product Manager of Identity, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of privacy-safe identity solutions and robust tagging frameworks across Best Buy’s Retail Media Network, onsite and offsite. This role ensures accurate data capture to enable campaign attribution and audience insights while maintaining compliance, trust, and scalability in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technology landscape. You’ll collaborate with engineering, legal, analytics, privacy, and compliance teams to define standards for identity resolution, consent management, and media instrumentation. Your work will improve the precision of ad delivery, enhance our audiences, create more accurate measurement, and establish privacy-first innovation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the company-wide roadmap to improve identity resolution, consent management, and tagging infrastructure.
  • Lead programs to improve identity resolution through both resolved and probabilistic identity to establish an unrivaled retail media identity graph.
  • Define and implement privacy-safe tagging and beaconing strategies and solutions to support onsite and offsite signal capture.
  • Collaborate with engineering and legal teams to operationalize privacy policies and ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Ensure data quality and signal integrity through rigorous QA processes and monitoring systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party identity, privacy, and tagging platforms
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry standards, contributing to internal documentation and product updates.
  • Link multiple identifiers and metadata, ensuring accurate data matching across systems.
  • Launch data enrichment initiatives that incorporate Best Buy-specific identifiers and vetted external sources to strengthen identity profiles.
  • Define a measurement framework to understand the value of different data signals and data providers and partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience in digital advertising, identity platforms, or tagging infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of experience with Identity resolution platforms (e.g., Live Ramp, Neustar).
  • 2+ years with consent management platforms and privacy-safe data architecture.
  • 1+ year of experience with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on advertising.
  • 2+ years of experience with ad tech platforms and ecosystem technology including DSPs, SSPs, CDPs, ad servers, and similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Privacy or related field; advanced degree is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with probabilistic identity
  • Experience with tagging technologies (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Tealium, IAS, etc.), beaconing systems
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and analytics teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Snowflake).
  • ​​​​​​​Experience supporting incrementality testing and conversion tracking through instrumentation.
  • Experience in a closed media ecosystem like Google, Amazon, Meta, or similar
