Job Description
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for end-to-end (E2E) production planning execution within SAP PPDS, ensuring factory schedules are achievable, materials are available, and production flow is optimized. This role supports the Master Scheduler, services daily production needs, and plays a critical role in operational excellence through Lean thinking, KPI ownership, and strong cross functional collaboration.
The BD Planner ensures schedule integrity by creating and maintaining planned and production orders in SAP, monitoring raw material/component availability, and driving adherence to factory flow and planning standards.
Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling

Create, release, and manage planned and production orders in SAP PPDS

Execute detailed schedule planning aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS)

Support the Master Scheduler by translating the demand plan into executable factory schedules.

Maintain schedule stability while responding to exceptions and production changes
-
Ensure alignment between capacity, material availability, and production sequencing
-
Monitor capacity loading on assigned production lines and forecast.
End-to-End (E2E) Planning Ownership

Own the E2E planning process from order creation through execution and schedule completion

Review and validate raw material and component availability for all scheduled orders
-
Proactively identify shortages, constraints, and risks; coordinate mitigation plans with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations

Drive schedule adherence and service level performance
Factory Flow & Operational Excellence

Serve as a key contributor to factory flow optimization
-
Apply Lean Manufacturing and OPEX principles to improve planning effectiveness, reduce waste, and improve schedule reliability
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, throughput, and lead time reduction

Ensure planning standards, work instructions, and ERP practices are followed consistently
Performance Management & KPI Ownership

Track, analyze, and report planning and production KPIs including (but not limited to):

Schedule adherence

On-time start/finish

Material availability
-
Throughput and flow performance
-
PPA
-
Attend and present KPIs at Tier meetings (Tier 2)

Provide clear data-driven insights and corrective actions to support operations and leadership decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a key planning interface with:

Support daily production execution issues and short-term recovery planning

Communicate priorities, risks, and changes clearly to stakeholders

Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical & Systems Skills

Strong experience with SAP (PPDS preferred)
-
Solid understanding of ERP planning logic, order structures, and master data
-
Experience creating and managing production and planned orders within an ERP system
Planning & Manufacturing Knowledge

Strong background in production planning and scheduling
-
Understanding of E2E supply chain planning
-
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, OPEX, and continuous improvement terminology
-
Experience working in a factory / manufacturing environment Soft Skills & Competencies
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
Strong communication skills, including presenting data and KPIs to operational teams
-
Detail-oriented with a disciplined, process-focused mindset
-
Collaborative team player with the ability to influence without authority
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
-
5 Years experience in Production Planning
-
Experience supporting Master Scheduling or S&OP processes
-
Experience in high-mix or complex manufacturing environments
-
Familiarity with Tiered Accountability (Tier meetings)
-
Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
-
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
-
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
-
Good interpersonal skills.
-
Subject Matter expert in SAP/PPDS/MRP is a must.
