Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.Job Summary:
In this role, you will be required to assist the project construction superintendent with plan development, training, environmental safety & health (ES&H), quality review, and technical support and participate in the direction of craft professional activities. Your work will help ensure construction operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

Major Responsibilities:

Being considered an Assistant Superintendent Directs craft activities under supervision of superintendent and responsible for plan development, training, ES&H, quality, etc.
Participating in the preparation of construction drawings and sketches.
Participating in the development of planning construction methods and procedures.
Developing projections and schedules for workforce, material and equipment requirements.
Preparing Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
Monitoring installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
Implementing and enforcing policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
Working with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
Participating in the coordination of engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
Monitoring tool and equipment usage on the site.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Requires CIP tuition accredited and up to date.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge in planning tools (3WLA).
Knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
Intermediate English is highly desirable.
