Project Overview: Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports.Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of a state of the art international airport in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Salman International Airport will have a capacity of up to 120 million travellers by 2030 and 185 million travellers by 2050, and the capacity to process up to 3.5 million tons of cargo by 2050. Bechtel will provide PMC services for three new terminals; Terminal 6 is a new build ‘low cost carrier’ – hyper efficient terminal with gross floor area of ≈450,000m2, capacity of 20mppa; Iconic Terminal is a new build ‘new concept’ terminal with gross floor area of ≈ 1M m2, capacity of 40 to 45 mppa, and Private Aviation Terminal and hangars for VIPs and business jet passengers. Job Summary: The Cooperative Training will provide structured training and exposure across various construction functions and verticals, with a focus on key processes. Major Responsibilities: The Cooperative Trainees will work under the supervision and guidance of respective vertical leaders and will work closely with team leaders and supervisors for day-to-day activities as follows: Students will be learning various systems and procedures which are used by these verticals. Cooperative Trainees will receive training and help prepare weekly and monthly reports, develop databases, and support various reporting tasks. Shadowing and learning from experienced professionals in the field. Assisting with day-to-day tasks and projects. Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills. Conducting research and analysis as required. Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to ongoing projects. Education and Experience Requirements: Students must be in the final stages of graduation. Bachelor of Science degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university Students should qualify to undergo the training as part of the university curriculum Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of (2.5 out of 4) or (4 out of 5) Excellent skills in oral and written communication Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Required Knowledge and Skills: Good Communication Skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable and can maintain a positive and professional attitude under stress. Ability to work well in a team Time management and organizational skills Willingness to learn and take on new challenges Attention to detail and accuracy Adaptability and flexibility Students should be from the core Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field. Good Academic background. The students must know the basic principles and practices Problem-solving, entering and verifying data, working knowledge of computers, various software applications, and standard office equipment.
