Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project’s architectural aspects.

Major Responsibilities:

• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the architectural work to include the preparation of original designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications​, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications​

• Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions​

• Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques and/or difficult coordination requirements​

• Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs for proposals, forecasts, and change orders​

• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals​

• Prepares letters to vendors and clients​

• Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment, work and material specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations​

• Coordinates architectural efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups​

• Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations​

• When delegated, provides guidance to other architectural personnel for specific tasks or project-subgroups​

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Previous experience of Data centre design including administration building, process/ non process buildings and other supporting facilities like maintenance building, guard house, substation, electrical buildings, pump house, etc.

• Thorough knowledge of master planning – parking, accessible route for differently abled people, fire lanes, turning radius for movement of fire tenders, marking of vehicular movement and pedestrian movement within site, EV charging stations (project specific requirement), site paving material, site contours, etc.

• Good understanding of façade design and material selection (including interior & exterior finishes)

• Basic knowledge of Landscaping design (hardscape & softscape)
