Mining and Metals:
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before.
Job Summary:
Return & Rise Program, supports professionals returning to work after a career break of 12+ months. This program offers a structured opportunity to rebuild skills, gain project experience, and transition into long-term roles.
Opportunities are aligned with key business needs in Construction, ES&H, Procurement, and Project Controls, including project work at Thacker Pass, Mining & Metals project. Participants will receive onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing support throughout the program. This program will consider various locations such as Houston, Denver and Nevada.
Major Responsibilities:

Delivering agreed work outputs that support the team’s objectives (e.g., analysis, coordination, documentation, process improvement, reporting, stakeholder support), with clear weekly progress updates.

Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, timelines, interfaces, and dependencies.

Applying structured problem-solving to identify issues early, propose options, and escalate risks appropriately.

Maintaining accurate documentation and trackers as needed (notes, action logs, deliverable status, process documentation).
-
Participating in program activities (check-ins, learning sessions, mentorship moments) and incorporate learnings into your day-to-day work.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree in related fields.
-
Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
-
At least 12 months without being employed under a contract by a company in the related field.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
-
Experience in project-based, multi-stakeholder environments.

Familiarity with common business tools (Microsoft 365; Excel; Teams).

Demonstrated examples of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
-
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently to resolve routine problems.
