I&S New Energy Projects CoE (Center of Excellence) Leader

The role of the I&S New Energy Projects CoE Leader is to serve as the technical and project delivery process authority for all I&S New Energy project scope. The leader will assure a comprehensive project development and execution framework for fully integrated New Energy projects involving exploration, appraisal, and development phases of field life, is developed and implemented. The New Energy Projects CoE Leader will build and lead a team in charge of the development and implementation of technical standards and best practices related to New Energy project design and operations including the interface between subsurface studies, well design, surface facility design, and field operations monitoring and management. In addition, the team will provide support to global operations teams to assure the standards, and best practices are communicated and implemented on I&S New Energy projects. The scope of New Energy projects includes Carbon Capture and Underground Storage (CCUS), Geothermal resources, mineral extraction, and hydrogen production.
The New Energy Projects CoE Leader will ensure collaboration is present with all OFSE segments within integrated workflows that consider commercial, design, planning, and operational activities. The CoE Leader will also lead a group of SMEs that support projects with well designs for CCUS, Geothermal, Lithium extraction or Hydrogen sources.
As a I&S New Energy Projects CoE (Center of Excellence) Leader you will be responsible for:
- Developing New Energy Project delivery framework considering exploration, appraisal, and development phases of field development, through a well-defined and consistently applied stage gate process.
- Contributing to business development and commercial strategies
- Participating in industry groups to understand New Energy technology and industry trends
- Developing technical and operational risk management processes and strategies for project delivery
- Building team of technical SMEs that will develop and support the implementation of best practices within global New Energy projects
- Collaborating with existing teams and Baker Hughes OFSE and IET product lines to assure best in class integrated solutions are provided to all I&S New Energy Projects
- Building robust multi-disciplinary workflow for New Energy field development project delivery, performance management, and knowledge management
- Reviewing and verify financial models for field development plan selection and definition
- Supporting the development of training and competency program for New Energy technical disciplines
- Leading peer reviews and technical audits of global New Energy projects
- Providing technical support to global I&S project teams
- Supporting global teams with instituting digital solution package for New Energy Projects
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience within product line
- Have 8+ years of relevant oil & gas well engineering or production operations experience
- Have 7+ years of energy resource asset management experience or major capital project delivery
- Have 3+ years of Geothermal Project development and Operations experience is preferred
- Have 3+ years of experience in and demonstrable superior results in optimizing all aspects of performance and reliability with well production and injection (including design and operations)

- Manages written and oral English as a working language (Fluency Portugues or Spanish is a plus)
- Strong Situational leadership skill
