As a Account Manager - South Texas Upstream Chemicals, you will support account performance and field execution by working directly with customers and internal teams. You will help implement chemical treatment programs, coordinate field activities, troubleshoot operational issues, and communicate value delivered through services. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent service quality, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.
As a Account Manager
- South Texas Upstream Chemicals, you will be responsible for:
Account Management & Customer Support
- Supporting account‑level activities including field performance tracking, service requests, and product usage monitoring.
- Providing high‑quality customer service and maintaining regular communication with customer representatives.
- Supporting indirect upselling by identifying improvement opportunities and highlighting value delivered through chemical programs.
- Contributing to value creation by documenting performance improvements, cost savings, and operational benefits.
Field Operations & Team Coordination
- Overseeing and guiding Field Specialists assigned to the account to ensure consistent service quality and adherence to procedures.
- Ensuring proper execution of chemical treatment programs, sampling activities, system audits, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Assisting with implementation of changes to products, processes, and procedures based on operational requirements.
Planning, Reporting & Documentation
- Developing annual operational plans for assigned accounts in alignment with departmental objectives.
- Generating technical, operational, and service performance reports for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Communicating program needs, project approaches, and outcomes clearly and effectively.
- Ensuring standardized project processes are followed while applying sound judgment within established frameworks.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including senior business leaders, to support account strategies and continuous improvement.
- Implementing updated processes and procedures defined by cross‑functional teams.
- Operating within contract requirements while recommending improvements when appropriate.
- Maintaining full compliance with safety, regulatory, and company operational standards.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry**, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field**, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Have experience in upstream chemical applications, production chemicals, or field operations (preferred).
- Have strong communication, organizational, and customer‑management skills.
- Have the ability to troubleshoot operational issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Have the ability to work independently while collaborating across internal teams and customer organizations.
- Have an understanding of standard operational processes, reporting requirements, and field safety practices.
Work in a way that works for you
This is a field‑based role with regular on‑site visits to customer locations.
Travel within the assigned region may be required.
Work hours may vary and could include extended or shift‑based schedules depending on operational needs.
Strict adherence to all safety protocols and field standards is required.
