As a Lead Document Controller, you will co-ordinate Document Control (DC) for multiple large-scale subsea projects. This is a client facing role in a high profile and dynamic project environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Management of technical documentation for large-scale subsea projects including storage, review, approval, and distribution.
  • Acting as the single point of contact for the client for DC.
  • Supervising global DC team for selected projects.
  • Identifying client contractual DC requirements and implement a compliant project-specific Document Management Plan (DMP).
  • Managing the Master Document Register (MDR) in an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) throughout the project.
  • Distributing DC reports and metrics internally and externally.
  • Leading on time delivery of technical documentation throughout the project.
  • Ensuring adherence to global SP&S standards for DC for selected projects.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and escalate concerns to the DC leadership and project teams and support implementation of improvements.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Document Control (DC) role
  • Have experience using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
  • Have experience in a Senior DC or similar role
  • Have experience coordinating document management activities
  • Have experience performing DC responsibilities on major engineering projects
  • Have experience working in Oil and Gas or a similar engineering environment
  • Have experience using multiple document management systems
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation to clients
  • Have a high energy level and a self‑starter approach to work
  • Have excellent collaboration skills with a strong focus on project delivery within multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Have a strong sense of ownership and urgency in delivering high‑quality outputs to clients
  • Have leadership skills and the ability to operate effectively within a matrix team or organization
  • Have excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize complex tasks
