As Venezuela reactivates drilling activity, we are expanding our commercial presence to support operators with reliable, efficient, and technology‑driven services.

As Lead Sales Specialist – Well Construction, you will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for our Well Construction portfolio in Venezuela. You will engage directly with operators, identify growth opportunities, and position Baker Hughes technologies to maximize value and performance.

You will collaborate closely with regional product line leaders, operations, and global functions to ensure commercial excellence and flawless execution.

As Lead Sales Specialist – Well Construction, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing Commercial Strategy for Directional Drilling Services, Drill Bits, and Fluids aligned with LATAM objectives.
  • Driving Customer Engagement with JV operators, and international operators re‑entering the market.
  • Managing Opportunities across drilling campaigns, redevelopment projects, and new field evaluations.
  • Leading Tender Processes including pricing strategy, commercial exceptions, and contract negotiations.
  • Positioning Technology such as RSS, motors, MWD/LWD, PDC bits, hybrid bits, and fluids systems.
  • Maintaining Forecasting Discipline and ensuring accurate pipeline management.
  • Coordinating Cross‑Product Integration to maximize pull‑through across Well Construction and adjacent product lines.
  • Providing Market Intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and operator plans.
  • Ensuring Operational Alignment for seamless handover and execution.
  • Upholding Baker Hughes’ highest standards of compliance, ethics, and HSE.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Industrial, or related).
  • 7–10 years of experience in** Directional Drilling Services**, including MWD/LWD, RSS, motors, or BHA optimization.
  • Established network within Venezuela’s upstream sector.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales, account management, or commercial leadership.
  • Strong understanding of Drill Bits technologies and applications.
  • Experience working with JV operators, or international operators in LATAM.
  • Fluency in Spanish and strong proficiency in** English**.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Plus)

  • Experience with Drilling & Completions Fluids (design, optimization, or sales).
  • Knowledge of integrated well construction workflows (DDS + Bits + Fluids).
  • Experience in reactivation markets or complex geopolitical environments.
