As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing annual and long-term sourcing strategies and pipeline plans for the software category.

• Achieving cost savings targets.

• Defining supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.

• Negotiating terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.

• Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.

• Leading RF(x), and commercial contract negotiations with software suppliers.

• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams including legal, finance, cyber security, and others.

• Mitigating supplier risks through effective contracting and supplier management.

• Communicating with business leaders and stakeholders regarding project status, process compliance, business procedures, and policies.

• Serving as a business partner to key IT stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes, ensure compliance with company requirements, and track metrics (KPIs).

• Owning and building relationships with key suppliers and other partners as needed to advance business requirements and achieve internal customer satisfaction.

• Providing thought leadership as the team leader of the software sourcing team.

• Leading multiple sourcing projects and sourcing-related activities in a fast-paced, multi-national environment.

• Understanding of global cybersecurity and data privacy regulations related to the procurement of software and associated services.

Required Qualifications

• To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

• Have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive experience leading technology sourcing activities for global Software (On-Prem, SaaS, Cloud) and Services.

• Have the ability to leverage internal and external data sources to create strategic category plans.

• Be a skilled negotiator who can both plan and execute sourcing strategies in support of stakeholder’s business needs.

• Have experience in negotiating & redlining software contracts.

• Have strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
