As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer – Aeroderivative Gas Turbine, you will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Also, you will be responsible for activities linked to the technical improvement of existing products and components which requires a Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function
As a Aeroderivative Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Leading various projects on Aeroderivative Gas turbines Systems of various existing fleets & New products with broad scope and delivering with high impact to the business.

Being accountable for assigned Mechanical Design activities & Mechanical Durability activities on Aero Gas Turbine components and assembly design.

Responsibilities on Mechanical design includes: 3D parts modelling , performing hand calculation to arrive at suitable design, performing tolerance stack-up, defining geometrical tolerances, resolving non-conformities on manufactured parts/assembly, performing supplier qualification, managing the BOM & configurations as part of PLM.

Responsibilities on Mechanical durability includes: Understanding Interface and components design requirements, thermal/structural FEM, both static & dynamic analysis, failure analyses (HCF & LCF initiation and crack propagation)

Support component qualification through laboratory testing and field performance reviews.

Collaborate with aero and thermal teams to ensure cohesive and integrated design execution.

Coordinate global engineering teams and facilitate cross-functional technical discussions.
-
Manage outsourced engineering tasks and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) activities.

Coordinating with the global engineering team and facilitating technical discussions within Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and the Supply chain.

Presenting ideas & analysis results through design reviews and drawing sign-off.

Documenting all work in design record books.

Be responsible and be forefront to innovate and penetrate the culture into the team

Develop & provide advanced technical training to team members.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a master’s / bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ machine design/ Aerospace engineering with a minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical design calculations, 3D modeling, PLM, finite element analysis.

Have an experience in Aero Gas turbines:
-
Have an experience in working on Aero/Aviation domain

Have an experience in FEA
-
Be familiar with design and analysis tools and systems such as NX (Unigraphics), Teamcenter, ANSYS Classic, ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Topology Optimization or similar.

Have a Deep understanding of the technical documentation, GD&T, its management process (e.g., Bill of Material) and Supply Chain Processes

Have demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and be fluent in English.

Have Strong engineering fundamentals; Articulate communicator; Ability to adapt well to working in teams.
