The Product Development Leader manages a team of highly skilled experts to successfully deliver projects through the design, verification, production and, if required, commercialization stages in collaboration with Product Line management team, Product Managers, the Product Line Technical Director and the OFSE Technology Team. The Technology Product Development Leader also interfaces with the product line leads to ensure seamless plug in with product line strategies and priorities.

As a Product Development Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Leading an engineering team in Wellbore Construction with responsibilities for new product development
- Being responsible for performance management and career development of employees
- Fostering collaborative relationships and open communication with stakeholders (Engineering Team, Peers, Product Line Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales) to achieve successful product development and commercial launch
- Measuring and analyzing engineering performance to drive continuous improvement
- Developing and evaluating project development plans for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by the group. Assesses the feasibility of proposals and resource allocation requirements. Oversees the execution of projects
- Educating, mentoring and supervising direct reports and other engineers within the organization
- Providing technical and project management leadership, including design oversight and approval
- Being responsible for tracking and reporting group budget
- Managing special projects, as assigned
- Solving problems and developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting.
- Sharing knowledge acquired in projects.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Have 7+ years of experience in Design Engineering or Sustaining Engineering
- Have strong leadership, mentoring, and/or coaching skills and experience
- Have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Have project management experience
Desired Characteristics
- Have experience with Completions tools design and qualification testing, including industry standard validation testing
- Have experience with conventional Liner Hangers, Liner Top Packers, Open Hole Packers, and other wellbore construction products and applications
- Have experience with Expandable liner hangers a PLUS
- Have experience with Product Development Management (PDM)/New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
- Have extensive experience with FEA (linear, non-linear, damage models)
- Show Management / leadership skills
