The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together. Our organization helps propel us forward and achieve true mission partnership.
What You’ll Do:
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management: Review daily performance metrics to ensure the kitting team meets the established SLA for serving internal customers.
- Team Enablement: Ensure the team has the necessary training, equipment, and tools to work safely and productively.
- Team Development: Support team members' growth through regular 1-on-1 meetings.
- Work Schedule Management: Maintain a predictable work schedule that aligns with the kitting team's schedule. 9/80 schedule is available for this position.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional teams to leverage tools and processes, providing exceptional materials service to internal customers and programs.
- Team Leadership and Inspiration: Support and inspire the kitting team to excel and innovate in processes and services.
- Documentation Management: Regularly review and update Work Instructions and Job Aids to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate logs, records, and files in accordance with BAE Systems' SMS policies.
- Material Handling: Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts to move materials as needed.
- Process Improvement: Participate in and lead cross-functional project teams to enhance processes and tools within the group.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and information.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including basic problem-solving and customer service abilities, to build solid relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to make informed decisions using sound judgment, while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, principles, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with teams across functional boundaries, communicating effectively to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Ability to lead team-building initiatives and provide coaching to support employee success, growth, and development.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record review.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Forklift experience preferred.
- MS Office experience preferred.
- Experience working in a high-volume inventory, shipping, and/or receiving environment.
- Experience working in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
