Sr. Finance Manager – Strategic Project Lead to IT (Full-time Hybrid or Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to partner with the IT on strategic project implementations driving cloud computing and digital capabilities throughout the business. This position plays an important role in driving sector-wide business decisions to optimize performance, increase efficiency and align with business strategy and objectives. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for financial support of functional cost and expense budgeting, forecasting and reporting, business case analysis and general finance analysis within the BAE Systems’ IT strategic projects. The position reports to the Director of Functional Cost Management.

Our preference is for this individual to work in a hybrid remote format,splitting their time between our offices at 65 Spit Brook Rd.,Nashua, NH, and remotely from an alternate work space. That said, for the right qualified candidate, a full-time remote arrangement may be considered.

In this role, you will:

• Act as Business Partner to the IT function, focused on strategic project implementations
• Complete business case analyses to support intended projects
• Work closely with Leadership teams to establish affordable annual forecasts to support the functions and business needs, working closely with the IT FCM manager to ensure the strategic projects are captured accurately
• Lead team to prepare long and short-range forecasts of expense, base, staffing, overhead rates, and capital
• Work closely with Functional Cost Management team to develop 5 year Forward Pricing Proposals for use on Government contracts
• Frequent, direct interface with IT leaders to support ad hoc requests
• Recurring presentations to IT and Sector leadership on financial performance as related to business case performance
• Support the IT VP in key initiatives, aligning with the functional strategy and supporting necessary financial activities

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, or a related business discipline, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of relevant professional work experience
• Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions and leadership in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional work teams
• Proven track record of driving transformational changes and improving financial performance
• Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience with forecasting, analysis and business case creation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Ability to motivate a team of Finance and IT professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Experience with Hyperion, Smart View, & BI
• Understanding of expenses, overhead rates and government accounting

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $134640 - $228888

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
