Next Generation LPO Systems Engineer
About the role
Job Description
We are looking for a highly capable Systems Engineer who does more than just "manage" a process—we need someone who can dive deep into the physics of warhead and reentry vehicle (RV) designs and navigate the complexities of multi-network configuration management. If you are a self-motivated engineer who hates sitting idle and loves solving complex integration puzzles, this is your role. You’ll work with multiple stakeholders to draft, collaborate and validate the warhead requirements to integrate in, and interface with the RV. You will be the technical eye reviewing warhead and RV designs, ensuring they are compatible and built to survive and perform in the harshest environments imaginable. You will help establish and navigate the configuration management process, maintaining a "single source of truth" for change control across multiple entities and secure networks. You won't wait for instructions. You will proactively identify risks, propose innovative solutions, and enable warhead integration with the RV and Sentinel weapon system. Your technical briefings will directly inform Air Force leadership, shaping the strategic direction of national security assets. From setting the agenda to closing out action items, you will ensure that high-level government meetings result in tangible progress.
