In this role you will build and lead a world-class engineering team that develops AI-driven visualization capabilities, from photorealistic image generation to intelligent material authoring, scene creation and more. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to prioritize features based on customer value and technical feasibility
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI-powered visualization in Fusion, balancing innovation with production readiness
- Partner with UX to create intuitive interfaces for complex AI capabilities
- Translate customer needs and market opportunities into actionable engineering plans with clear milestones
Team Building & Development
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing engineering team
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, psychological safety, and continuous learning
- Establish clear ownership models, agile practices, and engineering standards that scale
- Mentor engineers across career levels, from junior contributors to senior technical leads
Technical Execution & Delivery
- Ship production-grade AI features across the rendering stack, including image and video generation workflows, material and texture synthesis, scene composition and etc.
- Ensure features meet quality, performance, and reliability standards across different OS platforms, and cloud environments
- Drive architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable systems that integrate seamlessly with Fusion's existing rendering infrastructure
- Engage with other engineering teams to ensure platform consistency and shared infrastructure
- Establish telemetry, observability, and monitoring for production AI services
- Implement guardrails for data privacy, responsible AI practices, and ethical model usage
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience developing complex software systems, with 2+ years leading development teams that ship customer-facing features
- Deep technical expertise in C++ and Python
- Proven experience with AI/automation for Visualization applications: Model training, fine-tuning, and deployment to production
- Applications such as image generation, texture/material synthesis, lighting estimation, etc.
- Building data curation pipelines and A/B testing frameworks for ML features
- Strong product sense: Ability to translate customer problems into technical solutions with measurable impact
- Agile delivery: Experience with iterative development, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication
- Communication skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to PM, Design, Research, and executive stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Graphics/Visualization, or equivalent industry/research experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing AI-powered workflows (prompt design, guardrails, evaluation) and integrating AI into complex desktop/cloud products
- Experience with CAD software is a plus
