Join Autodesk and the Forma Design team as our next Engineering Manager for Growth and Adoption. In this role, you’ll lead and build a team of Growth Software Engineers focused on user engagement, activation, and adoption across our AI-powered design platform.
You’ll stay technically engaged—contributing to production systems when needed—while primarily focusing on growing a high-impact team and driving a strong growth engineering culture.
We believe there is a better way to design our cities. To enable this, we are transforming how architects and engineers work through collaborative, outcome-driven design tools. Your work will directly impact how users discover value quickly and succeed in their design workflows.
About the Role
As Engineering Manager for Growth, you will build and lead a team dedicated to improving user journeys across the Forma ecosystem—from onboarding and activation to long-term engagement.
You will join a cross-functional team, working in a highly experimental, data-driven environment. Together, you will identify opportunities, run experiments, and deliver features that help users realize value faster.
This role combines:
-
People leadership — building and growing a strong team
-
Technical leadership — guiding architecture and contributing where needed
-
Growth mindset — driving experimentation and measurable impact
What You Will Do
Build and Lead the Growth Engineering Team
-
Hire, onboard, and develop a team of Growth Software Engineers
-
Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning
-
Coach engineers in both technical and product thinking
-
Create an environment where engineers feel supported, challenged, and empowered
Drive Growth Through Engineering
-
Lead initiatives focused on onboarding, activation, retention, and engagement
-
Enable rapid experimentation (A/B testing, feature flags, analytics-driven iteration)
-
Partner with Product and Design to identify and prioritize growth opportunities
-
Ensure the team delivers measurable impact on key user and business metrics
Strengthen Data-Driven Development
-
Promote best practices in experimentation and hypothesis-driven development
-
Ensure proper instrumentation, analytics, and feedback loops
-
Use data to guide decisions and continuously improve user experiences
Collaborate Across the Organization
-
Work closely with other product areas
-
Partner with analytics, platform, and infrastructure teams
-
Contribute to the broader engineering management group
About the Team
The Growth team works across the Forma product ecosystem, focusing on:
-
Personalized onboarding experiences
-
User journey optimization
-
Feature discovery and activation
-
Experimentation and conversion optimization
The team plays a critical role in ensuring users quickly understand and benefit from the product.
What Will Help You Succeed
-
Experience leading and growing software engineers in a product-focused environment
-
Strong hands-on background building cloud-based systems
-
Experience working with data-driven development, experimentation, or growth engineering
-
Ability to balance speed and quality in a fast-moving environment
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills
-
Passion for building products that deliver real user value
You Might Also Bring
-
Experience with A/B testing frameworks and analytics platforms
-
Background in growth engineering, user acquisition, or retention
-
Experience with TypeScript, serverless architectures, or AWS
-
Experience in large-scale systems or SaaS platforms
-
Interest in AI-powered products or design tools
Why You Might Love This Role
-
You enjoy building teams as much as building software
-
You’re motivated by impact and measurable outcomes
-
You like working in a fast, experimental environment
-
You care about helping users succeed quickly
-
You want to shape how modern design tools are adopted globally
We believe diverse teams build better products. Even if you don’t check every box, we encourage you to apply — curiosity, empathy, and a growth mindset matter just as much as experience.

Am I a liar? I got hired for a high-paying 3D design job and they think I’m using hardcore CAD software. I’m not.
I need some outside perspective because this is starting to keep me up at night. A few weeks ago I got hired at a company to help design a new product. The pay is honestly way higher than anything I expected. During interviews they mostly focused on my portfolio and how quickly I could iterate concepts. They seemed really impressed. Now that I’m here, everyone seems to assume I’m some kind of industrial desing/mechanical engineering CAD expert. I'm actually self-taught from YouTube. People i

[Video Games] Darkstalkers Are Not Dead: the story of Yoshinori Ono's failed attempt at necromancy
# How we got here In the mid-to-late 2000s, Japan's video game scene went through some serious troubles: although plenty of beloved games still came out, the Lost Decade crash had driven several Japanese companies into bankruptcy or consolidation, and several development tools had been deprecated (most famously Autodesk Maya). Because of this, some Japanese designers, like Tecmo's **Tomonobu Itagaki** (3D *Ninja Gaiden*, *Dead or Alive*) and Capcom's **Keiji Inafune** (*Mega Man*), instead turn
