Senior Principal Predictive Insights Specialist

Role Overview

We are building a flexible, high-leverage team responsible for detecting customer issues earlier and enabling the organization to act before they escalate.

As a Senior Principal Predictive Insights Specialist, you will:

  • Define and steward a durable capability area within the team's broader strategic direction, one that outlives any single project
  • Own outcomes through implementation, adoption, and ongoing operation; accountability does not end at handoff
  • Drive adoption and effective use of capabilities across partner pillars and leadership

This team operates as a horizontal intelligence layer within the Predictive Support pillar, partnering closely with Diagnostics, Customer Reliability, and Technical Account Management (TAM) to improve how the organization anticipates and responds to customer needs.

This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. Influence works through domain expertise, stakeholder credibility, adoption leadership, and mentoring of P4 (Principal) ICs.

What You'll Do

Define and Steward a Capability Vision

Within the team's broader direction, synthesize cross-system context, partner-pillar needs, and business priorities into a coherent vision for your capability area, one that endures across projects and supports what the team is building together.

Define What Good Looks Like

Establish operating principles, quality standards, success measures, and outcome expectations for your capability area.

Own Outcomes Through Implementation, Adoption, and Operation

Accountability does not end at handoff. Stay engaged through implementation, integration into partner workflows, and ongoing operation. Work is not complete until the system is producing real customer outcomes.

Drive Adoption and Operationalization

Help partner teams successfully adopt and operationalize your capability area through clear communication, partnership, and ongoing engagement.

Coordinate Stakeholders at the Right Altitude

Engage stakeholders at the appropriate level, pushing decisions down when possible and escalating only when necessary.

Shape What Gets Built Through Requirements Clarity and Partnership

Provide requirements clarity, domain context, and ongoing partnership, ensuring the right things get built in your capability area while collaborating with and complementing the work of the rest of the team.

Inform Team and Pillar-Level Strategy

Use insights from your capability area to inform CSI direction and pillar-level discussions where they have broader relevance.

How We Work

  • Outcome-driven: every initiative is tied to clear, measurable outcomes with accountability to partner teams
  • Team-aligned autonomy: individuals operate with high independence within a shared mission, staying aligned with team direction while owning problems end-to-end
  • Capability-first: we build reusable systems, not stakeholder-specific one-offs
  • Shared ownership: success is collective; we elevate each other's work and ensure outcomes are connected across the team

What We're Looking For

  • Track record of owning a system or capability area end-to-end, through design, implementation, adoption, and ongoing operation
  • Strong synthesizer who can translate ambiguous business needs into clear requirements and direction without crisp specs being handed to you
  • Mature stakeholder coordination: knows when to engage senior leaders directly, when to push decisions down, and when to escalate
  • Active use of AI to extend leverage, applying AI throughout your work as a structural multiplier and modeling AI-native ways of working for the team
  • Skilled at shaping the work of other ICs through clear requirements, domain context, and partnership, not by technical override or formal management
  • High ownership mindset that holds across long horizons; your work does not end when a system ships
  • Excellent communication across audiences: adapts naturally from technical peers and P4s to Directors and senior leaders, and is comfortable driving awareness and adoption across organizational boundaries

Nice to Have

  • Experience navigating cross-pillar or cross-organization-boundary work with operational accountability for outcomes
  • Background bridging deep technical work with business and product partnership
  • Demonstrated mentorship of P4-level ICs through domain expertise and stakeholder partnership, not technical authority

What Makes This Role Different

  • Defines and stewards a durable capability area within the team's broader direction
  • Owns outcomes through implementation, adoption, and operation, not just delivery
  • Less time as the primary builder than the P4 role; more leverage through system design, stakeholder influence, adoption, mentoring, and shaping what gets built
  • IC role with no direct reports; you operate as a trusted domain leader for your capability area, contributing to, not driving, the team's broader direction
  • Significant cross-pillar coordination across CSI, Diagnostics, TAM, Customer Reliability, and Product
  • Emphasis on long-horizon outcomes, system credibility, and adoption, not activity or output volume
