About the Role:
Attentive is seeking a Senior Director of Global Accounts Receivable that will report directly to the Controller. This role will build and lead a team responsible for the company's billings and collections operations, and partner closely with the Business Systems, Revops, and Accounting teams to enhance and automate our current processes. They will be responsible for ensuring that our people, processes and systems in the Billing and Collection functions are able to efficiently scale to support the ongoing growth and success of Attentive.
What You’ll Accomplish

Own Global Accounts Receivable Operations: Take full accountability for the customer billing lifecycle from integrating invoices from Salesforce to Net Suite, invoice generation, through the cash collection process.

Drive Operational Excellence: Refining processes and SLAs across the accounts receivable cycle while reducing manual interventions through systematic process improvements and automation.

Optimize Dunning Process: Optimize and automate the dunning process to drive down DSO and reduce the cost associated with external collection efforts.

Build Systems & Automation: Partner with Business Systems team to lead billing system configurations, automate workflows, and integrate billing systems with a goal of being able to generate and send out all invoices on Day 1 of the close process.

Partner with Deal Desk and GTM Teams: Provide strategic consultation on billing capabilities and deal structuring to enable seamless contract-to-billing execution.

Ensure Customer Experience Excellence: Serve as an escalation point for billing inquiries and disputes, maintaining exceptional customer experience throughout the billing cycle.

Automate Preflight Billing Checks: Work with the Business Systems team to introduce system automation to the preflight billings checks to ensure the accuracy of customer invoices on Day 1.

Partner with Technical Accounting on Contract Review: Be aware of typical contract pitfalls and work closely with Technical Accounting and Revops in preventing contract terminology that creates revenue recognition issues.

Build Revenue Recognition Process in Net Suite: Utilize Net Suite ARM to build out automated revenue recognition processes including integrations with Salesforce for SSP calculations.

Establish Controls & Compliance: Implement compliance controls, segregation of duties (SOD), and audit-ready processes supporting enterprise-grade operations.

Deliver Analytics & Insights: Develop KPI dashboards and billing and collections metrics for data-driven decision-making.

Build and Lead Team: Establish, scale, and develop the global accounts receivable team; define OKRs, clarify priorities, drive results, and develop team members through mentorship and coaching.
Your Expertise

Global Accounts Receivable Experience: A leader with a demonstrated track record of success and career progression. Experience in establishing processes and using technology to automate routine operations. Can demonstrate success in partnering cross functionally so the Accounts Receivable function is relied on as a strategic voice to help guide Attentive through its future growth.

Desired Industry Experience: Experience within a successful high-growth SaaS/Enterprise Software company. An understanding of marketing software in a SaaS model is preferred

Accounts Receivable Experience at Scale: Leadership experience within a successful and growing $200M+ company.

Public Market / IPO Readiness: Public Market experience and/or experience helping guide a company through the initial public offering process or public market readiness

High-Growth Experience: Experience and/or ability to work in a high growth and fast-paced environment; building and implementing scalable billing and collection processes utilizing cutting edge technology, including AI.

System Experience: We strive to use best-in-class software to help our Global Accounts Receivable function run as efficiently as possible. Our current technology stack includes: Netsuite, Netsuite Advanced Revenue Management, Zone Advanced Billing, Tesorio, Paystand and Salesforce. Experience with these applications is a plus.

Strong Communicator & Presenter: Excels in written and visual communication and messaging. Ability to comfortably present complex concepts to team members and internal stakeholders in a simple and concise manner to drive alignment is critical.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think about implications of strategic choices and their impact on both upstream and downstream people and processes.

For US based applicants:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $250,000 annually + equity + benefits
