
Director-Chief of Staff
About the role
Overall Purpose:
Manage Product organization’s centralized chief of staff group. Ensure the effective delivery and coordination of strategic planning, strategic initiative delivery, performance and objective setting, budget planning, headcount management and team/organization communications/activities for both SVP and individual VPs.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Strategic Planning and Business Management:
Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and business plans to align with organizational goals and drive business growth.
- Executive Operations and Resource Management:
Manage workflows, optimize executive operations, ensure effective performance of human resources and budget functions, and maintain effective resource allocation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Representation:
Ensures cross-functional collaboration within product organization, AT&T Business and the broader AT&T organization. Represent the district, provide a front door for requests not having a clear owner, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
- Internal and External Communications:
Develop and maintain communications within the product organization as well as regular cadence of reporting – product performance, P/L gap closure and roadmap to client organizations such as sales, operations and rev ops. Ensure creation of external facing communications materials for key industry presentations/events.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare comprehensive reports, and provide actionable insights to inform executive decision-making and ensure organizational success.
- Team Leadership and Crisis Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports supporting a shared service function, address and resolve issues or crises, and make informed decisions to maintain operational stability in a dynamic environment.
Job Contribution:
Designs and executes strategies that support the overarching philosophy of the organization. Oversees departmental programs and is often hands-on with the design and implementation of applicable strategies. Typically leads large teams, supervising supervisors as well as career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Supervisor:

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 10+ years of related experience.
