As a Senior Solutions Architect inside the Solutions Center of Excellence, you will serve as a strategic, technical partner in our most complex enterprise sales cycles. You are a recognized subject matter expert who empowers global teams and customers to achieve their mission by showcasing "the art of the possible" through deep technical expertise in Asana’s API, AI, and platform ecosystem.
You will manage large, complex technical projects with our strategic customers, influencing both internal product roadmaps and external customer technology frameworks. This role is a transformation from one-off technical fixes to building the architectural foundation that orchestrates work at scale.
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.
What You’ll Achieve
-
Strategic Team-Selling: Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers to design innovative, integrated solutions that transform customer workflows and drive strategic business growth for Tier 1 accounts.
-
Technical Validation & MVPs: Own the design and execution of technical proof-of-concepts (POCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs) that prove Asana’s value as a platform.
-
Platform Evangelism & Enablement: Level up the broader Solutions organization by creating technical guides, reusable demo assets, and training programs on non-code and low-code technical engagements.
-
Product Partnership: Serve as the "eyes in the field" for R&D, capturing insights from global enterprise engagements to influence the future roadmap of Asana’s API and AI capabilities.
-
Architectural Leadership: Develop "before/after" architectural frameworks and workflow diagrams that illustrate how Asana integrates into diverse customer tech stacks.
-
Scaled Impact: Identify repeatable technical patterns and turn them into global assets—such as custom script galleries or workflow templates—that enable self-service across the revenue organization.
-
Roadmap Influence: Partner directly with Product Management and Engineering to identify gaps and proactively shape the long-term platform strategy and roadmap.
About You
-
Expert Architect: You have 6–10+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (Solutions Engineering, Architecture, or Technical Consulting)
-
Proven Orchestrator: Extensive experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects end-to-end or building technical programs from the ground up.
-
Deep Technical Acumen: Proficient in scripting (Python, JavaScript, or Node.js) and designing custom integrations using RESTful APIs and serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda).
-
Strategic Thinker: You look "around corners" to identify technical obstacles before they arise and can articulate complex initiatives across cross-functional teams to gain internal buy-in.
-
Independent Driver: A self-starter and independent thinker who thrives in dynamic environments and takes total ownership of outcomes.
-
Master Storyteller: Comfortable presenting a bold vision of the future to C-level executives, moving beyond feature-selling to value-based solutioning.
-
Global Collaborator: Skilled at influencing without authority and working across regions (NAMER, EMEA, APAC) to standardize best practices while respecting regional nuances.
-
Continuous Learner: Passionate about emerging technologies, particularly AI/LLMs, and eager to leverage them to enhance organizational productivity.
-
Cross-Functional Catalyst: Proven ability to align marketing, business, and product teams to deliver cohesive, high-value solutions.
-
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to delegate, oversee the work of others, and mentor junior team members.
-
Commercial Acumen: Deep knowledge of software and SaaS buying behaviors and enterprise procurement cycles.
-
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the work management category and how enterprise technology ecosystems (CRM, i PaaS, Cloud Hosting) intersect.
-
Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making
