Position Overview and Objective:

This role will serve as a senior leader within Engineering Excellence, responsible for building and scaling internal platforms, tooling, and data-driven insights that improve developer productivity, operational maturity, and customer outcomes. The Senior Manager will lead an onsite engineering team based in Bangalore, India, working closely with global engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to design systems and metrics that support a high-performing, AI-first engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

Generates and manages day to day work for team(s). Defines and delivers roadmap. Is also a key contributor to longer term planning and strategy with their Director. Execution of process and accountable for the outcome of their R&D team. Manage team(s) that will deliver high quality, innovative software solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people. Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles. Instill engineering excellence and AI-first practices in their teams by living them on a daily basis.

Required Experience

• 14+ years of experience in software engineering roles with 5+ years in engineering leadership or management, including managing managers or senior technical leads.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling internal engineering tooling or platforms used by multiple teams.
• Strong hands-on background in AWS cloud architecture, including distributed systems and data platforms.
• Proven ability to define, implement, and operationalize engineering performance metrics and dashboards.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Background in data science, analytics, or applied statistics, with practical experience turning data into actionable insights.
• Experience designing or operating data access services, including MCP servers or similar API-driven data platforms.
• Familiarity with developer productivity, engineering excellence, or platform engineering domains.
• Experience working directly with customers or customer-facing teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
