Financial Analyst (f/m/d) at Aptiv

We’re hiring a talented Financial Analyst who will support the Aptiv Services Deutschland GmbH Finance Team responsible for daily controlling activities for assigned German entities, and also for reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities. You will find the opportunity to develop knowledge in a wide range of finance activities and to understand the mutual connections of many departments that have an influence on the daily functioning of an international company.

Your Role:

• Participation in month-end closing activities

• Participation in developing monthly forecasts and budgets

• Analyze and explain variances between forecast and actual

• Prepare weekly best estimation and monthly closing and support plant finance report preparation;

• Supporting other team members in their activities

• Annual standard cost maintenance and roll-up in SAP system;

• Lead physical count for plant inventory and fix assets;

• Ensure all costing and accounting process in compliance with group/statutory accounting policy and internal control requirement;

• Prepare weekly best estimation and monthly closing and support plant finance report preparation;

• Preparing various reports and ad-hoc analysis

Your Background:

• Completed studies in Finance, Business, Economy or comparable experience and knowledge

• Accounting knowledge

• Fluent in German (written and spoken) & English language (min B2/C1)

• Very good MS Excel knowledge

• 5 year of experience in finance/accounting area

• Attention to details, accuracy and independence while performing tasks

• Fast learning and problem solving attitude

• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

• Self-driven and proactive

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Solid knowledge of accounting rules and internal control requirement, familiar with US GAAP preferred;

• Strong understanding of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow

• Self-motivated, honest, precise and independent working style, curious in plant operating process;

• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and manage on-time delivery of effective outputs;

• Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively across different functions.

• Excellent use of MS Office and in particular Excel & PowerPoint

• Must be a local resident with ability to be present on site
