Your Role

In your daily job you will:

  • Lead daily line quality operations to ensure stable production and defect prevention
  • Monitor key quality KPIs (FTQ, scrap, rework) and drive immediate improvement actions
  • Manage internal quality issues and customer complaints through structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D)
  • Ensure timely containment actions and implementation of corrective and preventive measures
  • Oversee process compliance with IATF 16949 and internal quality standards
  • Lead and support internal and external audits, ensuring effective follow-up actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and SQ to improve process capability
  • Coach and develop line quality engineers and inspectors to strengthen team capability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall line quality performance

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams or line operations
  • Strong expertise in quality methodologies and tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP)
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949) and customer requirements
  • Proven experience in handling customer complaints and leading audit responses (customer & certification audits)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional quality improvement initiatives in a production environment
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Korean (for global and local stakeholder management)
