As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. You'll develop software documentation and test procedures, troubleshoot software problems, and communicate with internal customers to understand project requirements. As part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.

We are looking for a highly talented software engineer to join our unique product team of building the next gen applications to control and manage our products.

The development will include GenAI Tools for new Applications, Devices, GUI and DB.

What will you be doing?

• Design & implement code for software projects.
• Define software specifications
• Develop and integrate SW with HW devices
• Interface with internal customers for requirements analysis and schedule.
• Troubleshoot a variety of difficult software problems.
• Interface with external customers regarding software issues.

What should you have?

• At least 4-5 years of experience in development in C++
• Knowledge in object oriented SW (OOD)
• Familiarity with multithreading systems
• Excellent system thinking
• Excellent team work
• Windows/Linux experience
• Experience with Gen-AI tools - an advantage
• Experience in C#/Java - an advantage
• Experience with multidisciplinary systems - an advantage
• Experience with SW-HW communication development – an advantage
• Familiarity with GUI development - an advantage
