Key Responsibilities

Provides leadership and direction through managers for providing perspective of customer process and device roadmaps (N to N+2) for a broad function area. Recognized as a technology expert: N, N+1, N+2

Identifies inflections, threats and opportunities for share and TAM growth. Determines segmentation & requirements. Delivers a detailed competitive analysis. Develops a winning product/ business strategy

Develops and manages relationships with technical buyers. Improves customer(s) preference to engage Applied on technical problems

Manages local technical resources and works closely with BU teams to ensure high installed base performance and customer(s) satisfaction

Owns and manages TRMs and technical engagement programs with customer(s)

Protects customer(s) IP, protects Applied IP, gathers competitive intelligence

Discovers customer(s) HVPs, understands options and influences the customer’s technical choices. Designs alternative technology solutions

and improves customer(s) preference to engage Applied on technical problems

For TD Process Integration: identifies cross-BU opportunities and DPY HVP

Functional Knowledge

  • Recognized as “guru” or external expert in a function
  • Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field
