As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.

General Profile The primary focus of this job role will be support, implement and improve manufacturing test in a production environment under the direction of manufacturing engineering. The secondary focus of this job role will be to support all other manufacturing engineering goals, objectives and initiatives. Ideal candidate demonstrates higher level knowledge and skills within own discipline. Solves varied and moderately complex problems independently. Exhibits knowledge of the company, processes and customers.

Key Responsibilities Interfaces with other test engineers and internal customers to coordinate the deployment of new test fixtures. Begin evaluating, designing and project managing own test fixture projects and solicit assistance as needed. Writes, releases, approves, implements, and issues engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required to support the implementation of new or improved test fixtures and equipment.

Assist or own the coordination and/or execution of test fixture sourcing activities. Uses basic engineering and DFx principles to estimate and reduce test fixture development costs and improve delivered fixture quality.
Develops, maintains and improves test procedures and the overall testing process. Assists with the definition of test specifications with design, software, and manufacturing engineering. Determines time standards and implements changes to improve safety, quality, and reliability. Uses lean principles to eliminate wastes found in the production/test system.

Determines root cause and implements corrective actions for issues that arise during design and deployment of test fixtures and provides failure analysis report as required. Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; Uses data to make data driven continuous improvement changes to the test process
The ideal candidate will have working experience with Mayan or equivalent software.

Proficiency in the following software is a plus: AgileE6, SAP, PTC Creo, Ansys, Smartsheet, Tableau, Team Center, Core+ or other similar software programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 2-4 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job

• Solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex information to others

Physical Requirements:This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
