Key Responsibilities1.Technical Pre‑Sales & Strategic Engagement

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the pre sales lifecycle, partnering with Sales, Hardware, and Process Development teams to shape competitive proposals and position technology advantages.
  • Serve as a senior technical authority for key customers, leading deep technical engagements to understand Fab environments, process nodes (Logic, DRAM, NAND), technology roadmaps, manufacturing objectives, and critical KPIs.
  • Own the definition and prioritization of customer High Value Problems (HVPs), translating complex technical challenges into actionable strategies aligned with customer business and manufacturing goals.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineering leadership, influencing decision‑making through data‑driven insights and long‑term technology alignment.

2. Advanced Data Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Lead advanced, data‑driven analysis of equipment and process performance versus customer specifications, including CD, profile, defectivity, yield, process capability (Cpk), matching, output, and Cost of Ownership (CoO).
  • Drive sustained CSA value creation by delivering measurable improvements in yield, variability, CoO, and productivity, while identifying and influencing CSA renewal, upsell, and penetration strategies.

3. Complex Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Leadership

  • Own resolution of highly complex, cross‑disciplinary tool and process issues using advanced analytics, deep equipment and process expertise, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Lead high‑impact Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs), ensuring sustainable implementation, knowledge capture, and replication across customers and platforms where applicable.
  • Influence internal roadmap decisions by translating field learning and customer feedback into actionable recommendations for product, process, and service enhancements.

4. Technology Adoption & Executive‑Level Value Communication

  • Drive customer adoption of new service technologies and offerings by establishing clear technical and economic value propositions supported by demo results, evaluations, and customer‑specific data.
  • Deliver technical presentations to customer stakeholders, clearly articulating technology differentiation, competitive positioning, and quantifiable business impact (e.g., yield improvement, CoO reduction, productivity gains).

5. Cross‑Functional Influence & Organizational Enablement

  • Lead and influence cross‑functional teams across Sales, Field Service, Hardware, Process Development, and R&D without direct authority to ensure alignment and execution of customer solutions.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and escalation point for complex customer engagements, setting technical direction and best practices for the broader organization.

6. Talent Development & Knowledge Leadership

  • Mentor and develop junior and senior engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and structured knowledge transfer.
  • Establish and drive best practices for documentation, technical reviews, and lessons‑learned to elevate organizational capability and consistency.

Qualifications & Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrated system‑level integration knowledge across semiconductor process modules.
  • Acknowledged deep expert‑level in one or more thin film process areas across CVD / ALD / PVD / Epitaxy.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous, high‑impact customer environments and to influence outcomes at both technical and leadership levels.
