Apple's Video Applications Group is seeking a Product Designer to work on software applications for MacOS and iOS. Description

From brainstorming through implementation, the Product Designer will work with members of the Video Applications design team, as well as our engineering, marketing, and QA groups. The Sr. Product Designer will need to quickly grasp and distill highly sophisticated challenges and technical solutions into clean, understandable design solutions. Understanding the needs and workflows of video creators of all types is essential, with deep domain knowledge of video a strong plus.

The designer needs to be an effective diplomat with strong communication and interpersonal skills who is willing to prove themself within a company of passionate individuals. The Sr. Product Designer is a key player in determining the future design direction of Apple's Video applications. We are looking for a transformational designer who is ready to and capable of taking software design to the next level.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in human interaction, interaction design, visual design, or equivalent preferred.

High-level domain expertise in video editing, graphics, animation, or other creative fields preferred.

Complete mastery of MacOS and iOS.

Skilled in prototyping new experiences.

Excellent collaborative skills.

Capable of working in a loosely structured organization.

Highly professional, with the ability to deliver high quality work efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ year of experience

Deep experience designing mobile and desktop applications.

Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles.

Demonstrable fluency with Sketch, Photoshop, or other design tools.

Strong familiarity with the tools and workflows of video creators.

Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
