People who are blind or have low vision can access text and sometimes images using a Refreshable Braille Display, which dynamically raises and lowers tactile dots on a surface. Apple's Voice Over screen reader supports using Refreshable Braille Displays via USB or Bluetooth on many Apple platforms including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS. The Braille Accessibility team is responsible for all Braille-related support in Voice Over, ranging from low-level drivers through high-level features to customize the user experience specifically for Braille.
