Apple is in search of an experienced Media Planning, Buying & Activation professional to join the Apple Services Integrated Marketing team, with a focus on audio, out-of-home (OOH), and digital publisher integrations. In this role, you will work closely with our in-house media teams, analytics, measurement, creative, and campaign strategy teams to facilitate the execution and ongoing optimization of all go-to-market paid media campaigns. You will be a primary point of contact for external media partners, including podcasts, vodcasts, and streaming radio, to define and develop world-class integrated communications across traditional and digital media. Additionally, you will support other media channels such as out-of-home, print, TV, and digital partnerships.
As a Media Planning and Buying Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth end-to-end process for the tactical planning and execution of cross-channel paid media campaigns, activated by both in-house and external agency media activation teams. This role will work closely with team members to refine existing processes to achieve best practices in tactical execution and optimization.
You will work alongside media team line-of-business strategists to ensure that strategies are aligned with brand nuances, taking into account successful media placements, platform insights, and overall media imperatives.
Description:
You will be responsible for tactical activation, launch, management, and optimization of Apple Services media campaigns. Comfort with data analysis to understand and articulate campaign performance is essential. You will be expected to demonstrate clear and thorough understanding of traditional and digital advertising, while delivering strategic campaigns to successfully hit directed KPIs. Working with channel managers and analytics teams to validate campaign performance through strategic testing will be vital to creating successful storytelling around the value of digital media buying practices. To accomplish these goals, you will need expertise and continued education in specific media channels as well as the overall media landscape, along with extensive experience managing the tactical functions of media investment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous relationships/interactions with key vendors and partners.
Broad vertical experience a plus (Apple Services LOBs span entertainment, finance/payments, apps, music, podcasts, books, sports, gaming, etc.).
Holistic understanding of attribution and measurement methodologies (both for performance acquisition and awareness-e.g., MMPs, third-party brand study partners, MMM, MMT, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree required.
4-6+ years of experience at a media agency or in-house agency group with traditional and digital media planning, buying, production, measurement, and reporting experience required
Deep understanding of paid media and how best to optimize Above-the-Line (ATL) and programmatic channels in an integrated capacity, from awareness to education/consideration to performance acquisition.
Experience buying media through direct and programmatic channels and managing campaigns.
Strong grasp of tactical campaign execution: audio buying, production and execution, buy types and strategies, optimization methodologies.
Functional understanding of ad serving and third-party validation partners (e.g., CM, Double Verify, White Ops).
Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate media impact from a performance mindset.
Understanding of the ad tech and Mar Tech landscape; experience working with tech platforms for buying and attribution needs.
Critical thinking skills necessary to find technical workarounds.

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,400 and $176,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
