Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineering Manager to lead the planning and execution for our next generation AIML Platforms, Infrastructure and AIOps for Channel Sales at scale from 0-1n. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of this transformative technology, drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of innovative AI solutions that leverage generative models to create captivating user experiences across our product lines.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of business SMEs, engineers, data scientists, designers, and researchers to develop breakthrough products that push the boundaries of AI and deliver real value to our internal and external users.","responsibilities":"Lead and mentor a global team of Machine Learning Engineers, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning within the team to break glass ceilings
Build streamlined processes, onboard new tools, effective resource planning to enable team members to do their best work
Proactively identify issues, manage risks, identify mitigations, marshal resources, and re-plan as needed
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field and identify relevant technologies for implementation
Collaborate effectively with Machine Learning and Software Development Engineers to see around the corner and build future proof products
Set clear engineering goals and priorities for the Channel Sales AIML Platform, Infra and AIOps to ensure scalability and reliability
Create compelling product documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and alignment issues quickly and effectively
Build relationships and collaboration opportunities within Channel Sales and with other orgs i.e AIML, SWE etc
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance of AI Powered products
Monitor and analyze performance data, providing key insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Advocate for data-driven decision making across the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building new relationships and driving cross-functional collaboration, with ability to influence without authority
Experience setting up new process, tools and KPIs from the ground up
Analytical and strategic mindset with ability to solve complex problems
Team player and willingness to mentor team members
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Machine Learning and Software Engineering with successful launch of large scale consumer facing Commerce products worldwide
5+ years leading Machine Learning, Infra and AIOps teams and managing direct reports
Successful track record of working closely with design and engineering teams during the full GenAI/LLM product lifecycle, including research, planning, implementation and launch
Experience positioning and launching of new AI powered products
Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills
Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Demonstrated ability to develop compelling talking points and stories about new AI powered product and technologies for a broad audience including internal/external stakeholders, leaderships, users etc
Strong experience leading cross-functional initiatives with a clear impact on the direction of products
Strong organizational skills, able to handle ambiguity with experience in thriving in a startup environment within a large organization
Strong python and software development coding experience
Proven customer focus and curiosity
Demonstrates attention to detail and enjoys both hands-on work and high-level strategic thinking
Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related technical field

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
