The Marcom Platform & Services (MP&S) team is looking for an experienced Technical Release Manager. You will combine your technical expertise with operational and project management skills as you plan, coordinate, and execute regular web releases as well as high-profile Apple events. Your attention to detail and ability to manage cross-functional workflows will be key to delivering stable, secure, and high-quality deployments.
You will also own release cycles as they relate to operational efficiency and our CI/CD pipelines. Leveraging your knowledge of frontend technologies, CMS platforms, Next.js, backend systems, Git workflows, and automation tooling, you will help streamline delivery processes and improve deployment consistency across global digital experience.

Apple is looking for a highly motivated Technical Release Manager. The Marcom Platform & Services team is responsible for powering the experiences behind apple.com and related marketing platforms. Our team supports critical launches and everyday publishing at global scale, integrating frontend, backend, and infrastructure systems. You'll collaborate daily with world-class engineers, DevOps, QA, and product teams across Apple to deliver high-impact digital experiences with precision and confidence.","responsibilities":"Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end web releases, owning scheduling, readiness, deployment, and post-release validation to ensure stability and accuracy.
Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, configuration management, and deployment automation.
Ensure release readiness across frontend codebases, CMS platforms, backend systems, and infrastructure components.
Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers while driving timely issue resolution.
Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, SRE, QA, and product partners to improve release reliability and operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement by refining release processes, documentation, and operational best practices..
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to plan and lead complex, deadline-driven releases across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Python, Bash, and deployment automation.
Familiarity with CMS platforms, Groovy scripting, Git Ops, Kubernetes, AWS, and ITIL frameworks.
Proven track record orchestrating complex global web releases under demanding timelines, with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years experience in release coordination and DevOps for large-scale web platforms
Understanding of release pipelines, branching, CI/CD automation, configuration management, testing, or risk mitigation.
Proficiency with Git workflows, CMS systems, and frontend deployment tooling (e.g., Next.js, Node.js, HTML/CSS).
