Description

As a Senior System Software Engineer, you will design and develop software across Apple operating systems (iOS, macOS, and beyond) for a wide range of audio features and functionality. A core part of this role involves designing and building frameworks that expose and advertise Air Pods capabilities to the broader Apple software ecosystem, enabling other teams and features to leverage the full power of Air Pods hardware. You'll collaborate closely with design teams and cross-functional partners - including the Air Pods firmware team - to prototype, architect, and deliver software solutions for audio accessories.

Preferred Qualifications

You're experienced working with wireless technology, (Bluetooth or Wi-Fi)

You have experience with SW audio features like Telephony audio or Bluetooth audio

Minimum Qualifications

You have 5+ years experience in software design/programming with C++, Swift, or Objective-C

You have a solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies, multi-threaded programming and operating systems concepts

You're experienced with wireless or audio solutions

You have strong debugging skills

You have a BS or MS in CS, EE, or related

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
