Description

Our Carrier & Standards team is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and self-driven Engineering Program Manager to work across layers on cutting edge wireless technologies. In this role, youʼll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services. Our goal is to ensure nothing stands in the way of our customersʼ connections with their devices. This position will involve overseeing large-scale engineering projects, developing comprehensive project plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing multiple partners across different countries, and driving innovation that significantly impacts the industry. Partner with a team of highly skilled project managers, test engineers, and developers.

Interface between external teams and partner test labs to Apple's internal test and development teams.

Drive large-scale comprehensive project plans in a fast paced environment, and managing multiple partners across the globe.

Apply your detailed technical knowledge of wireless standards (Thread, NFC, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular) to understand, prioritize, and drive resolution to issues found during the development and certification lifecycle and product roadmap.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with wireless standards (Thread, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3GPP) and relevant certification programs.

Passion for diving into hard problems and guiding others to build novel solutions.

Experience collaborating and providing feedback on technical architecture design while defining the long-term technical strategy.

Strong communications skills and experience in partner management.

Willingness to travel.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or equivalent major.

5-10 years of hands-on experience in certification, wireless development, and system engineering of devices.

A demonstrated aptitude as an Engineering Program Manager by managing large-scale complex projects.

Familiar with industry/regulatory certification and specifications for type approval.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
