The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a software engineer to work on exciting new spatial media experiences. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will drive exploration of future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.

Description

As part of visionOS Spatial Media team, you will define the overall experience of our platforms; ultimately impacting the way our customers use our products. You will work closely with Apple's framework teams and Human Interface designers - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in the AR/VR space. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to create an application that is deeply integrated into our operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with building photo and video oriented applications

Familiarity with computer vision techniques and algorithms

Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for AR/VR technologies and photography

Proof of concept development expertise

Familiarity with concepts of stereo photography and stereo rendering

Experience building complex applications that are functional, beautiful and delightful

Experience with technologies such as 3D reconstruction, light transport, ML, etc

Proficiency in iOS development practices

Minimum Qualifications

3 + years experience in software development.

Proficiency in an application programming language, such as C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, etc.

Experience using Apple development tools and APIs

Proficiency in Computer Graphics:

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
