The Apple Cloud Networking team constructs software-defined network infrastructure as an integral component of Apple Cloud. Our infrastructure serves as a pivotal foundation for delivering Apple's services, including i Cloud, i Tunes, Siri, and Maps, to a global customer base of billions. Description

We're looking for passionate folks who love building super-scalable, reliable, and user-friendly systems to support one of the world's biggest cloud infrastructures. You'll be designing, building, and running new services that help lead virtualized networks, computing, and storage. Working at our global scale brings some unique and tough challenges that require us to come up with radical innovations. These services are built using skills from different areas, like distributed systems, user experience, and modular and resilient programming. Architectural Expertise: Experience in building scalable services, architectural design, data structures, algorithms, microservice architectures, and APIs.

Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, deliver on bold deadlines, and drive closures, and the ability to prioritize and debug production issues.

Preferred Qualifications

BS and MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science:

Minimum Qualifications

Hands-on experience in building sophisticated and fault-tolerant systems

In-depth knowledge on networking protocols and packet forwarding architecture

Experience in infrastructure-as-a-code and APIs:

Strong systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency, caching, batching

Strong and proven record of working with multi-functional teams

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts, designs and decisions.

Hands-on experience with large scale production systems

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
