Here on the Apple Education WW Product Marketing team, we help to empower the global developer community with content designed to provide engaging teaching and learning experiences with developer tools and technologies. We drive impactful, large-scale projects, and work within a cross functional team that includes engineering, marketing, and developer relations organizations. We share a deep passion for supporting students and educators, and we're excited to help them bring their ideas to life.

We're looking for a instructional designer to bring deep expertise building and delivering technology-based instructional materials, and a passion for communicating technical concepts in engaging ways through various marketing channels. Your experience driving high-visibility, large scale projects, in a digital content production environment and collaborating with both creative and technical teams will be vital in this role.

Description:

Work closely with engineering, developer relations, developer publications, product marketing, and operations teams to create phenomenal developer content. Help bring this content to life for learners and institutions around the world. Identify, build consensus, and execute on using innovative approaches to support developers with bringing their creative ideas to life with Apple technology.

Incorporate the latest developer tools and technologies (SDK, APIs) in engaging ways for a learner audience with a focus on UI/UX.

Engage with the developer community to understand their needs, gain feedback, and incorporate suggestions into content development. Review and analyze the effectiveness of content.

Inspire audiences by representing the work in a compelling way with experts and creators, internally and in the field.

Maintain and update content regularly to reflect new technologies and user feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

Robust use and knowledge of developer technologies to improve learning experiences, including a focus on UI/UX.

Understanding of development with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, MLX, etc.

Experience designing for global audiences.

Expertise in collaborating with cross-functional internal and external teams including building consensus around complex ideas.

College degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, Education, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years proven experience designing educational content and communicating technical concepts to a broad audience.

Experience developing with Apple technologies, including proficiency with Swift and SwiftUI using Xcode, and other Apple developer tools.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading and keynote skills with a strong attention to the smallest details.

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,300 and $244,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
