We are looking for a hardworking Product Manager to join the Worldwide PM team to lead Air Pods Software. In this role on the Worldwide Product Marketing team we are seeking a skilled product manager for the team responsible for the product management and marketing of Air Pods Software. You will be deeply involved in the definition of the Air Pods product roadmap, and development and launch of future Air Pods features. You will play an instrumental role on the team that includes writing product and marketing requirements documents, collaborating with engineering to investigate new technologies, and being the voice of the market to Apple during the development phase. Leading up to launch, you will craft product messaging briefs, guide marketing communications on the creation of product launch materials, and act as a product spokesperson in press briefings and public events. The features and changes you enable will positively impact hundreds of millions of people around the world and play a crucial role in the lives of our customers.","responsibilities":"Research and synthesize technology trends, competitive trends, and user feedback to identify new product and technology opportunities.
Collaborate with software engineering, AI/ML, clinical and design teams to define roadmap and strategy.
Negotiate and influence product trade-offs impacting schedule and usability to improve user experience and consumer differentiation.
Drive a growth strategy to delight users and drive habitual usage of Air Pods.
Position audio technologies and industry trends in the competitive landscape.
Craft compelling messaging to encourage developer and customer adoption.
Launch new technologies and features worldwide in conjunction with marketing communications, corporate communications, events, and developer relations teams, demonstrating extraordinary marketing expertise, attention to detail, objectivity and accountability.
Act as the product spokesperson in press briefings and public events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record working collaboratively with engineering, design, and marketing peers
Technical track record working closely with engineering/technical teams
Strong ability to lead through influence, debate and storytelling
Experience and ability to synthesize technologies into product communication for broad audience including customers, media, analysts, and leading industry specialists
Best-in-class oral and written communication skills
Press and media experience with success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to travel
A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
Bachelor's and/ or master's degree, or MBA preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years experience in Product Marketing and/or Product Management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch.
Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities.
Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following product segments: consumer electronics, smart watch/wearables/fitness/health industries, and/or adjacent consumer hardware, software, or operating systems experience.
Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking and maintaining composure under pressure.

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
