Apple's SAR Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple's wireless products.

Description

• Work closely with in-region CM/Factory counterparts and internal teams in planning/executing on product development and validation activities.

• Travel to in-region CM/Factory locations to debug the issue and bring up the test setups.

• Understanding device to device variation by characterizing radiated and conducted KPI's and performing marginality analysis.

• Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups.

• Translating WW regulatory requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance teams to ensure product validation covers all certification tests.

• Define/execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features.

• Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE and drive design changes to address issues.

• Maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration.

• Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.","responsibilities":"Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers and Factory teams on product development, validation activities, and test setup deployment.

Develop technical documentation including test procedures, characterization reports, and compliance validation summaries.

Preferred Qualifications

MS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.

Working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurements.

Experience with 5Gmm Wave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding.

Experience with Antenna/EM simulation tools.

Minimum Qualifications

BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.

Working experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05).

Working experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, 3GPP.

Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
