Job Description

The Power µModule Business Team is looking for an experienced technical leader to provide customer-facing technical support for our industry-leading µModule regulator products and solutions. Analog Devices’ industry-leading µModule® regulators and DC-to-DC power products are complete system-in-package (SiP) power management solutions with integrated DC-to-DC controllers, power transistors, input and output capacitors, compensation components, and inductors within a compact, surface-mount package. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our customers, field sales, and distribution teams.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Holistic pre- and post-sales technical support for ADI’s µModule power products and solutions
  • Product trainings and presentations
  • Supporting customers by phone, email, and face-to-face on-site engagements
  • Product selection
  • Developing customer power system architectures
  • Schematic and layout reviews
  • Hardware design-in support, evaluation-as-needed, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writing/reviewing technical articles, application notes, and other technical materials
  • Product definition, including articulation and tradeoffs of technical requirements
  • Supporting technical aspects of Business Case reviews for new products

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree, 6+ years of experience in semiconductors/electronics industry in applications engineering, preferably in customer support roles
  • Experience with board level power supply design including:
  • Circuit design and simulation
  • PCB layout and component placement
  • Troubleshooting techniques using lab test equipment
  • Experience with multiple power supply topologies including buck, boost, buck-boost, SEPIC, and flyback
  • Experience using simulation and design tools including: LTspice, LTpower Cad, LTpower Planner, Cadence/Orcad, Allegro, PADS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in a customer facing role a plus
  • Experience with I2C, SMBus, PMBus and LTpower Play also a plus

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $150,978 to $218,624.

  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
