Job Summary

The Staff Test Development Engineer leads the development and deployment of robust, cost‑effective automated test solutions for semiconductor products. This role owns test strategy across the product lifecycle and provides technical leadership in test methodology, yield improvement, and manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development, debug, and release of ATE test programs from characterization through high‑volume production.
  • Define test strategy, coverage, limits, and optimization plans to meet quality, yield, and cost targets.
  • Support silicon bring‑up, correlation, and test transfer between R&D and manufacturing.
  • Drive yield improvement, test time reduction, and test robustness using data analysis.
  • Provide testability feedback during design reviews and influence DFT/test architecture.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex production or customer test issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within global test teams.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in semiconductor test development.
  • Strong experience with ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest, Teradyne) and test hardware.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or similar scripting/programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, test methodologies, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and across functions.
  • Own end‑to‑end test solutions, not just individual test blocks.
  • Influence technical direction and standards beyond a single product.
  • Deliver results with minimal supervision.
