Role Description:

This role is part of the Enterprise Service Now and Digital Risk Solutions team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Service Now Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) solutions.

  • Senior Associate IS Engineer
  • Service Now IRM/TPRM will lead full-cycle implementations and enhancements across vendor risk and system risk domains. This role will design scalable, automated, and user-centric risk management workflows that support the complete vendor lifecycle — from onboarding and tiering to assessments, ongoing monitoring, and remediation.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on development expertise within the Service Now platform, particularly IRM and TPRM modules, combined with deep knowledge of enterprise risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. This role partners closely with IRM, GRC, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure risk solutions align with Amgen’s enterprise governance strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement Service Now IRM and TPRM modules to support vendor and system risk lifecycle management
  • Lead full-cycle implementation activities including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Build and customize:Vendor risk workflows
  • System risk workflows
  • Risk assessments and Smart Assessments
  • Risk scoring models and tiering methodologies
  • Configure questionnaires, control frameworks, policy statements, and compliance mappings
  • Develop and enhance Management Workspaces, Service Portal, and UI Builder components to deliver intuitive, role-based user experiences
  • Automate risk processes using:Flow Designer
  • Business Rules
  • Script Includes
  • Client Scripts
  • Record Producers
  • UI Policies
  • Glide APIs
  • Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs to provide visibility into:Vendor risk posture
  • Control effectiveness
  • Remediation tracking
  • Regulatory compliance alignment
  • Integrate Service Now IRM/TPRM with external systems where required
  • Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Provide platform governance and ensure adherence to Service Now best practices
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to platform standards and documentation

Basic Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience

OR
Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
OR
Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 4 years of hands-on Service Now development experience
  • Proven full-cycle implementation experience in Service Now IRM and TPRM modules

Functional Skills

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with:Service Now IRM (Integrated Risk Management)
  • Service Now Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)
  • Experience designing end-to-end vendor risk lifecycle processes
  • Expertise in configuring risk assessments, Smart Assessments, and risk scoring models
  • Strong Service Now platform development skills including:Flow Designer
  • Business Rules
  • Script Includes
  • Client Scripts
  • UI Policies
  • Glide APIs
  • Experience developing Workspaces, UI Builder pages, and Service Portal components
  • Strong understanding of GRC, IRM, risk, compliance, and audit frameworks
  • Experience building dashboards, performance analytics, and risk reporting
  • Knowledge of enterprise regulatory frameworks and control mapping
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in regulated or GxP-compliant environments
  • Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Familiarity with CMDB and CSDM frameworks
  • Exposure to Service Now Performance Analytics
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes

Professional Certifications

  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) (Preferred).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Third-party Risk Management (CIS-TPRM) (Preferred).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC) (Preferred).

If certifications are not already held, the candidate must be willing and able to obtain relevant Service Now certifications within 6 months of joining.

Shift Information:
