Sr Associate, Field Effectiveness

What you will do

In this vital role the Sr Associate, Field Effectiveness plays a critical hands-on role in supporting the effectiveness of the sales force through high-quality data analysis, reporting, and operational execution. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, commercial operations, and field strategy, with a focus on enabling actionable insights and operational excellence.

This position reports to the Sr Manager, Field Excellence and will be responsible for the following

Responsibilities

Field Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze data from Veeva CRM, distribution partners, claims, and patient services.
  • Conduct analysis of execution for Field Sales teams to assess reach, frequency, HCP engagement trends, and account targeting effectiveness.
  • Deliver reports and insights for sales leadership and cross-functional teams.

Operational Execution & Field Enablement

  • Support territory alignments, roster updates, and call-plan execution.
  • Ensure operational delivery of tools used by the field—e.g., Veeva CRM, Next Best Action dashboards, digital companion tools, Alerts, and call plan refreshes.
  • Provide issue support and escalate as needed.

Sales Force Size/Structure & Deployment

  • Assist with field size, structure, and deployment analyses.
  • Support coverage and targeting evaluations.
  • Adjust alignments based on market dynamics and business priorities.

Field Force Effectiveness

  • Enhance field productivity, including call planning, coverage optimization, and targeting.
  • Support call planning, coverage, and targeting audits.
  • Conduct periodic targeting audit, by providing insights into workload balance, call frequency, and engagement quality.

Compliance, Quality, and Process Optimization

  • Ensure all analytics and reports adhere to promotional and non-promotional field engagement compliance requirements (e.g., Sunshine Act, sampling rules, HCP engagement limits).
  • Document processes and assumptions used in analytics pipelines and reports to support internal audit readiness and training.
  • Identify and support efficiency and automation improvements.

Project Support, Issue Tracking & Reporting

  • Track, manage, and drive resolution of issues and action items using systems such as JIRA and Service Now; ensure timely closure with clear ownership and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including timelines, decision logs, issue trackers, and closure reports to support governance and knowledge transfer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree & 4+ years of experience in sales analytics, sales operations, and/or field effectiveness.
  • Bachelor’s degree & 6+ years of experience in sales analytics, sales operations, and/or field effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the bio/pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Hands-on ability to write SQL queries and perform data analysis, data visualization, and reporting
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technologies such as:Sales planning and operations platforms (targeting, alignment, roster management)
  • CRM systems such as Veeva
  • Business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare reports and present findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, providing timely analysis and operational support
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, track deliverables, and meet deadlines.
