ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

The Program Manager will lead Amgen’s AI/ML Innovation Lab at the Hyderabad Innovation Center, overseeing end-to-end delivery, stakeholder engagement, and execution across multiple teams developing AI/ML and GenAI solutions for R&D, Manufacturing, IT, and Commercial functions. The role includes close collaboration with global AI/ML leadership and partners to ensure compliance, quality, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive overall program planning, execution, and delivery governance for the AI/ML Innovation Lab.
• Partner with domain SMEs and business stakeholders to define PoC, Pilot, and MVP roadmaps.
• Establish and manage cross-functional agile teams, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
• Define KPIs and success metrics for innovation outcomes and report to Amgen leadership.
• Oversee resource allocation, risk management, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure all activities adhere to Amgen’s regulatory, data privacy, and compliance frameworks.
• Maintain documentation, dashboards, and communication across all Po Ds and functional leads.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous innovation.

Required Qualifications

• 12–18 years of experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
• Proven record in AI/ML, Data Science, or Digital Transformation delivery.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery, program governance, and metrics reporting.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industry preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud (AWS) and data engineering/ML ecosystems desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing hybrid onshore-offshore delivery teams.
• Exposure to GenAI projects, model governance, and MLOps.
• PMP / SAFe / Agile Program Management certification a plus.
• Ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Product Management or consulting experience is a bonus experience
