What you will do
Let’s do this! Let’s change the world! In this vital role you will be a member of the Global Intercompany Accounting team that is responsible for the recording, consolidation, and analysis of Amgen’s global intercompany transactions. Besides that, you will support Managers and Senior Managers with the successful delivery of strategic, tactical, and general accounting & controlling goals.
Job duties include but are not limited to**:**

Partner with and review the work of an outsourced provider that supports this team.
-
Generate and post intercompany invoices, credit notes for goods, services, or loans exchanged between entities.
-
Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger account analysis, and reconciliations for both general ledger and consolidation systems.
-
Execute intercompany sub-process activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, ensuring timely month-end close.
-
Ensure adherence to transfer pricing regulations, internal policies, and accounting standards (US GAAP).
-
Analyze aged intercompany billing items, research disputes, and coordinate with departments (AP, Treasury, Supply Chain) to resolve mismatches.

Support the preparation of audit schedules and address questions from internal and external auditors.

Implement process improvements and strong controls over processes.

Keep track of the effectiveness of SLAs, process maps, and SOPs.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is desirable).

Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills, including the ability to interact with Amgen middle management effectively and confidentially.

Excellent and insightful analytical skills; ability to drive meaningful insights from large datasets.
-
Being able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
-
Language skills: Fluent in English.
-
4+ years of related professional experience.
-
Proficiency in technical knowledge of accounting (US GAAP), accounting processes and ERP systems.
