Job Description

Ready to communicate with purpose? Join us and help bring Amgen’s voice to life.

At Amgen, our mission is crystal clear: to serve patients. Every message we craft, every story we tell, and every update we share strengthens our culture and empowers thousands of colleagues worldwide. With over 28,000 teammates globally — and 900 in Breda alone — we operate in a highly international, vibrant and purpose-driven environment.

Now, our Corporate Affairs / Communications team is looking for two motivated, creative, proactive interns who want to make real impact through communication.

If you’re excited by social media, storytelling, internal engagement, events, digital analytics and big‑picture communication strategy… this internship will feel like your natural habitat.

LIVE

This could be your everyday

As part of our Corporate Affairs department, you’ll join a small but mighty team of experienced communication professionals supporting both Operations and Commercial. Your role will be dynamic, varied, creative and full of ownership from day one.

What you’ll do

  • Craft and publish internal communications that inspire and inform colleagues
  • Create and schedule social media content for external channels
  • Contribute to website updates, storytelling and creative campaigns
  • Support and help organize high‑energy staff events, including Mission Week & Lunch & Learn sessions
  • For Commercial: perform social listening, analytics and insights on website and campaign performance
  • For Operations: help strengthen internal engagement through events and communications
  • Partner with stakeholders, brainstorm creative ideas, and help shape communication strategy across the site

This is not a "sit and watch" internship — you will be contributing directly to content people see and remember.

Deliverables

By the end of your internship, you’ll have:

  • Contributed to multiple communications projects
  • Owned and executed your own communication project
  • Built a portfolio of visible, real corporate communication work
  • Developed both creative and analytical skills
  • Gained exposure to cross-functional communication and leadership messaging

Your communication will influence culture, support business priorities, and help 900+ colleagues stay connected and informed

WIN

What we expect of you

To thrive in this role, you bring:

  • Basic foundation in communications
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn fast
  • Strong writing and summarizing skills
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
  • Good planning, organizing and initiative-taking
  • Fluent Dutch and/or English
  • Active listening skills and a team-focused approach
  • An open, proactive attitude and willingness to collaborate

Perfect for second or pre-final year HBO students , especially from Avans Hogeschool – Communications

THRIVE

What we offer

As we create treatments that take care of others, we ensure our teammates thrive — personally and professionally.

You’ll benefit from:
