ABOUT THE ROLE:

Role Description:

The Specialist SAP Developer will play a critical role of an ABAP Developer in GTS(ABAP) System with expert level hands-on experience in all RICEFW. This individual will serve as a technical leader, architecting compliant solutions and guiding development teams.

The role demands strong technical depth and ability to mentor junior developers about engineering practices within SAP landscapes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• ABAP Technical Build and Support for SAP GTS, GTS–SAP integrations and OTC by developing enhancements, debug issues, and support testing

• Collaborate with architects and functional teams OTC, logistics, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into robust, extensible technical solutions

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctorate degree OR

• Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 5 to 7 years of IT or related field experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 7 to 10 years of IT or related field experience OR

• Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 11 to 14 years of IT or related field experience

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong ABAP / OO ABAP experience

• Hands-on SAP GTS experience on all RICEFW

• Good understanding of OTC processes

• Experience with IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs

• Knowledge on GTS–S/4 integration experience

• Expertise in using SAP ATC and other SAP quality and security tools for code inspection, optimization, and vulnerability detection.

• Requirement gathering, technical analysis, estimation, design, driving SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades and migration projects.

Professional Certifications (please mention if the certification is preferred or mandatory for the role):

SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP Net Weaver

SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP for SAP S/4HANA(preferred)

Soft Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively collaborating with functional teams, gathering business requirements, and documenting technical specifications and solutions in a clear and concise manner.

• High attention to detail in writing, debugging, and maintaining ABAP code, ensuring adherence to best practices, clean core principles, and compliance with SAP development standards.

• Ability to adapt to evolving SAP technologies and project requirements, staying up to date with the latest advancements while meeting dynamic business needs in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues in complex SAP systems, identify root causes, and provide effective technical solutions that align with business processes.

• Collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams, SAP consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of custom ABAP solutions that meet organizational goals.
